Welcome to CHES
Welcome to the Centre for Higher Education Studies (CHES). We are a centre of excellence dedicated to high-ability and high-achieving senior secondary students across Victoria. We aim to bridge the gap between schools and universities by offering accelerated programs, including first-year university subjects (Higher Education Studies), select VCE subjects and Year 10 enrichment electives designed to challenge and inspire.
Our state-of-the-art centre, strong partnerships with Victorian universities, and groundbreaking hy-flex approach to teaching and learning enable students statewide—including those in metropolitan, rural, regional, and remote areas—to access enrichment, extension, and supported university-level studies. At CHES, we aim to cultivate talents and deepen learning through our supportive statewide community where students can reach their full potential.
2026 CHES Expo
Join us for the 2026 CHES Expo on Monday 25 May, an opportunity for high-ability Year 10 and 11 students across Victoria to explore future study pathways, connect with university representatives, and learn more about CHES programs. Students will take part in interactive sessions, hear from CHES alumni, meet like-minded peers, and discover how CHES can support their next steps towards VCE success and university study.

CHES is located on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as Traditional Owners.
